- Easy installation. With a diameter of only 120mm and a weight
of approximately 270 grams, the new Mobotix p25 6MP camera is easily mounted in ceiling
panels 1-26mm thick through a 105mm diameter hole in protected indoor areas.
The p25 camera is connected to an Ethernet LAN cable (through which it also receives its power
by PoE) and then simply pushed up from below, with spring clips keeping it securely in place.
During installation, the p25 may be panned through 360° horizontally tilted between -5°
and -45°. After installation, the Mobotix p25 also supports digital PTZ on both live and
recorded image playback. An on-wall/ceiling surface mounting set is now also available for the p25.
- The new Mx6 Series Version of the p25 home automation camera is now also available
in the form of the Mobotix
p26 IP camera. The p26 home automation camera
looks the same from the outside, but uses a more powerful dual-core CPU to deliver up to twice as many
images per second at the same resolution, or to support additional in-camera software for applications
like license plate capture, for example. The new Mobotix
p26 home automation IP camera also supports an integrated H.264 encoder
and follows the ONVIF standard for video transmission and camera integration, which may simplify integration
of Mobotix home automation cameras in some larger system implementations
– though it also still supports the unique Mobotix MxPEG codec which remains a superior compression
format for storing clearer individual frames for surveillance applications. An MxBus interface was not
supported on the initially released Mobotix Mx6A Series cameras, but is supported on the newer hardware Mx6B versions.

panel. An optional Mobotix MX-Bus-IO-Module PCB may also be neatly
